Meet Our Team

In honor of Winnie Morenz.

In Honor and Loving Memory of Winnie Morenz, DVM.
Founder and Heart and Soul of Park Place Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Winnie Morenz

Dr. Winnie Morenz

DVM/Practice Owner

Dr. Winnie Morenz, DVM/Practice Owner, had big ambitions when she opened Park Place Veterinary Hospital in 1990. She had a goal to provide great medical care to pets in the Monadnock Region and in the surrounding communities. Between 1990 and 2016, PPVH grew from one to four doctors supported by an exceptional team of veterinary technicians, receptionists and office staff.

Dr. Morenz was diagnosed in 2014 with ovarian cancer. She continued her work while receiving ongoing medical treatments for over two years. In January of 2017, Dr. Morenz’ s long battle towards wellness ended. It was a sad day for many, and she will be honored and remembered by the tens of thousands who love and remember Dr. Winifred Morenz. In 2016, Dr. Morenz was awarded the Best Local Veterinarian in the Keene Sentinel Reader’s Choice Awards.

If you and your pets received care from Dr. Morenz, you remember her patient, calm approach with animals. She was compassionate and knew exactly what the pets and owners needed. Even her staff will agree! There is an expression used by staff and doctors at PPVH that is strongly engrained in the values upheld by Dr. Morenz, “wwwD?” (What would Winnie Do?) And to all who worked with her and knew her for many years, they know. It is for that reason that Park Place Veterinary Hospital can carry on the values and practices built by Dr. Morenz since 1990.

I approach my interactions with clients as if we are a team working together to provide the best care/outcomes for their pets and for them,” says Dr. Lang. Dr. Lang’s early veterinary work experiences started at the San Diego Zoo. Favorite Quote: “We who choose to surround ourselves with lives even more temporary than our own, live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached. Unable to accept its awful gaps, we would still live no other way. We cherish memory as the only certain immortality, never fully understanding the necessary plan” – Irving Townsend
